Water Purification

Pure water is elemental to the success of your experiments, but finding the right water system for your research goes deeper than water quality alone. You need a smart choice that supports both your science and your budget—not only on day 1, but with every cartridge and filter change. One that reflects 130 years of innovations - like feed water monitoring, hands-free dispensing and effortless cartridge change-outs. With a Thermo Scientific™ Barnstead™ Lab Water System the only thing you’ll have in your water is confidence.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water

RO is a percent removal technology, thus the purity of the product water is directly dependant on the quality of the feed water. It is the most economical method of removing feed water contaminants including most types of bacteria, pyrogens and 90-95% of inorganic ions.

Key Applications: Autoclave, humidification, glassware washing/rinsing & general lab equipment (waterbaths, incubators) etc

Type 2 Pure Water

Type 2 water is most widely used in general laboratory applications such as reagent preparation and glassware rinsing. It is also commonly used to feed our Type 1 system to create a comprehensive water system.

Key Applications: Glassware washing/rising, general lab equipment (waterbaths, incubators), media and buffer prep, chemical reagent prep

Type 1 Ultrapure Water

This grade of water is required for your most sensitive and critical laboratory applications. Type 1 water can be made pyrogen, nuclease, bacteria and particulate free. It has the highest purity, but is also the most expensive to generate.

Key Applications: Analytical instrumentation ; chromotography + spectroscopy & in the life science areas of cell and tissue culture, immunology, genomics, proteomics, pharmacology & microbiology

Solutions for single step and pretreatment purification for a variety of applications. Pumps, filters and cartridges and replacement parts will complete your water purification system.

A variety of holding tanks are available for use with our water systems
